Journalist Moaz Abu Taha's last gift to malnourished children [Original post] In honor of our beloved journalist Moaz Abu Taha who was killed while reporting in Nasser hospital, the Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project @sameerproject team and Moaz’s colleagues did an initiative providing fortified biscuits for 37 days for the pediatric department. These biscuits are full of vitamins and minerals, and are high in calories. 12,000 packs will be given over 37 days at the cost of $26,038. Moaz spent most of his days filming appeals for sick children in Nasser, and supporting the Sameer Project in distributions in the hospital. From providing fans to formula, Moaz was daily working on providing sick children and their families with relief. With broken hearts, we bid farewell to a hero, a selfless soul, and we will continue to provide aid to the children in Nasser in his honour for as long as we can. The operation, with its dual objective of occupation and displacement, seems to be proceeding at a cautious pace, as desired by the IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who adheres to the doctrine of slow progress to avoid the killing of soldiers in ambushes or clashes. However, this slow pace is accompanied by large-scale demolition operations, especially in the Zaytoun neighborhood.
