Yes... Israel killed this unborn child. A piece of shrapnel tore through his mother's body and pierced him while he was still in her womb— killing him before he could ever breathe, before he could cry, before she could hold him. After the operation, I collapsed on the floor beside his tiny, lifeless body. One haunting question wouldn't leave my mind: What was his sin? What had his mother done to deserve this? Was her pregnancy a threat? Was his heartbeat something they feared? For a moment, I couldn't hold it together. Tears fell from my eyes uncontrollably. Why are we forced to live like this? Why can't we live like the rest of the world— with peace, with dignity, with the simple right to exist? This moment will never leave me. The silence of his death, his mother's blood on the floor beneath him— they will remain etched in my memory forever, as a testimony to a crime the world cannot continue to ignore.
