BREAKING | Khan Younis During a live broadcast on Al-Ghad TV (media 1), occupation warplanes carried out two successive airstrikes on the reception department of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The first strike targeted the fourth floor of the reception building, followed by a second strike as civil defense and ambulance teams rushed to evacuate the wounded and recover the martyrs. The attacks led to the martyrdom of journalist and Reuters photographer Hussam Al-Masri (media 4), Al Jazeera photojournalist Mohammad Salama (media 5), correspondent for AP and The Independent Mariam Abu Daqa (media 6), and journalist Moaz Abu Taha (media 7) after succumbing to his wounds, and the injury of several others, including photojournalist for Reuters, Hatem Omar (media 8). The Ministry Health reported that at least 8 martyrs and numerous injuries resulted from the twin strikes on the hospital. The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that firefighter Imad Abdel Hakim Al-Shaer was martyred and 7 other members of the Khan Younis Civil Defense team were injured while attempting to rescue the wounded and recover the martyrs following the occupation’s strike on the Nasser Medical Complex.

Gaza Update Summary (August 15th - August 22nd, 2025) 🚨 This week, the IOF launched multiple ground offensives into Gaza City and northern Gaza, including Jabalia, Al-Zaytoun, and Al-Sabra. This escalation was characterized by the systematic targeting of civilian shelters, with massacres carried out at schools, hospitals, and the tents of the displaced. The IOF continued its relentless massacres of civilians awaiting aid and its policy of annihilating entire families from the civil registry. The week concluded with the UN officially declaring a state of famine in Gaza as the number of martyrs from starvation continues to rise. Friday, August 15th: The IOF perpetrated multiple massacres against civilian infrastructure, launching deadly strikes on the Musa bin Nusayr and Majda Wasila schools in Gaza City, where displaced families were sheltering. The assault extended to a strike on the outpatient clinics of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Simultaneously, the IOF systematically targeted aid seekers across the Strip, with attacks near "Zikim", the "Netzarim" corridor, and north of Rafah. These attacks coincided with major ground operations and widespread demolition of residential blocks in Khan Younis and the Zaytoun neighborhood. 70 martyrs ascended that day, including 26 aid seekers and 11 from starvation.
