Children in Gaza are denied the luxury of a normal childhood or the time to grow like others. Hunger forces their tender hearts to age far too soon, upon bodies still fragile. They outgrow their years prematurely, and their childhood is ripped away - even as they cling to it. In heartbreaking scenes, children line up at charity kitchens, crying for a morsel of food to ease their hunger. The children of Gaza do not have the luxury of childhood or the margin of time to grow like others. Hunger accelerates the aging of their hearts on breasts that are still young. They grow old prematurely, and their childhood is forcibly taken away, despite their clinging to it. In painful scenes, children line up on the "takiat", crying for a bite to eat Fed their way.

A family gets one serving from pot that would satisfy 3 people but in Gaza the typical family is 7-8 people so each person gets a few spoons, and typically that’s all they have for the day. As a mutual aid group in Gaza, our operations are getting increasingly difficult and the blackout has made communication with the ground team so much harder.
