Not out of choice, but because there is nothing to eat. A child in Gaza goes to the community kitchen every day, placing a pot on his head to protect himself from the hot sun. Sometimes he comes back with food, sometimes he finds nothing. “If we have a share, we take it, and if not...we leave it to God,” he says. When he is asked: What do you do if you do not find food? Then she heard her sister Mimi’s voice and began searching for her, crying out, “Mom, Mom!” before running outside in tears. To survive, Hanin had to walk through flames and charred bodies, unbearable trauma for a child her age. Her uncle, nurse Ahmed al-Wadiyya, confirms that Mimi, her mother, and her father were all killed in the murderous #Israeli airstrike. Over 20 fully armed Israeli occupation forces (IOF) soldiers stormed the streets of the Old City in Al-Khalil (Hebron), allegedly to protect around 200 white European settlers. These settlers are brought every Saturday from various settlements across the occupied Palestinian territories to promote false claims about their supposed ownership of Palestinian homes in the Old City. Before entering the narrow alleys, the army launched a drone to surveil the area. Then, the soldiers began marching through Palestinian neighborhoods, shouting at residents, shopkeepers, and even tourists. Shop owners-already struggling to survive-were ordered to shut down, and residents were blocked from reaching their homes until the settlers completed their incursion. Everyone, including international tourists, were forcibly herded into shops, which were then locked from the inside. Meanwhile, the leader of the incursion loudly delivered false narratives about Israeli claims to Palestinian neighborhoods.
