At least one was killed and several Palestinians were injured today after Israeli drones targeted the area surrounding the Wadi Gaza Bridge, northwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. According to local sources, Israeli forces carried out four consecutive drone strikes on the same location, leaving multiple people wounded. “The Moment Ahmad Raised His Hands in Surrender, an Israeli Soldier Shot Him Directly in the Head” The Guardian reports that Palestinian aid truck driver Ahmad Esleem was shot dead by an Israeli soldier while transporting humanitarian aid into Gaza, in a field execution. Esleem, who was delivering food for World Central Kitchen (WCK) through a fully coordinated humanitarian convoy, was ordered out of his truck after one vehicle broke down near the Philadelphi Corridor. Witnesses say Israeli soldiers forced the drivers to strip, assaulted them, and made them stand under the sun. As Ahmad Esleem raised his hands in surrender, an Israeli soldier shot him directly in the head. The 30-year-old, a father of two children, including a one-month-old baby, was killed despite wearing official identification, carrying all required permits, and operating under coordination approved by the Israeli military, according to his employer and Gaza’s truckers association.

According to Gaza's Government Media Office, more than 21,500 children, including 1,022 infants, have been killed since the war began on 7 October 2023, as the genocide reached its 1,000th day. The office said the total Palestinian death toll has risen to 73,066, with 173,514 people injured and around 9,500 still missing under the rubble. It also reported that over 90% of Gaza's buildings have been damaged or destroyed and that about 80% of the territory is under Israeli occupation. Since 1980, the prison was used especially for security prisoners, and it is considered one of the most harsh and severe of the occupation prisons. That comes as no surprise knowing that it was renovated solely for the intended purpose of imprisoning leaders among Palestinian prisoners to subject them to gradual death and to isolate them from the rest of the other prisons. The prisoner released, Majd Abu Laban (Arabic: مجد أبو لبن), from the town of Al-Tur, in occupied East Jerusalem, spent five years in Israeli prisons before being released on July 3, 2026.

A Palestinian family in Tubas was informed that their son, Majdi Nour Abu Arra, was killed in an Israeli drone strike in December 2024, ending 18 months of uncertainty during which his fate was kept undisclosed by Israeli authorities. The strike had targeted a vehicle he was traveling in, killing two others and injuring another who was later detained after being treated in hospital.
