8th baby to freeze to death within two weeks in Gaza [Original post] Yousef Kaloob, the 8th Palestinian newborn to freeze to death, passed away in a makeshift tent made of rags in Gaza. His mother tearfully recounts how she woke up to find him ice-cold, as if he had been in a freezer. Despite receiving used clothes from the flea market, it wasn't enough to keep him warm through the bitter cold. Source: @AnaAlarabytv [Tags: Palestine Voices, Baby, Living conditions, Exposure to cold] [Found by: @translating_falasteen, Al Araby TV] [Location: Gaza > Khan Younis] [Archivist Notes] In two week, height infants have died due to the bitter cold wave sweeping through the displacement areas of Palestinians, where they were forcibly displaced to regions described by the Israeli occupation forces as “temporary humanitarian zones.” Most of these areas are open spaces stretching to the sea shores, Dozens of tents have been blown away or flooded by the strong winds and rain, leaving families struggling to repair the damage, patching torn sheets of plastic and piling up sand to hold back the water. The real-feel temperature at dawn and early morning hours drops to 3°C (actual temperature is 8°C). According to Dr. Ahmed Al-Farra , the head of pediatrics and obstetrics at Nasser Hospital, in Khan Younis, staff in the neonatal ICU see at least five cases of hypothermia per day. Reduced breastfeeding and limited availability of infant formula has severely compounded the risk of hypothermia among babies, while the health workers are struggling to treat young patients due to shortages of electricity, diesel and other fuel. According to UNICEF , many displaced children in Gaza are wearing little more than the clothes on their backs – after many were forced to flee Israel’s bombardment in summer clothes, earlier this year. The head of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, recently said that Gaza babies “are freezing to death due to cold weather and a lack of shelter.” “Blankets, mattresses, and other winter supplies have been stuck in the region for months waiting for approval to get into Gaza,” he said in a recent message on X. The infants who died due to the cold are: Aisha Al-Qassas, 21 days old Ali Issam Saqr, 23 days old Ali Hossam Azzam, 4 days old Sila Mahmoud Al-Faseeh, 14 days old Jumua Al-Batran, one-month old Ali Al-Batran, one-month old Sanad Wisam Kamel Ayad, 4 months old Ali Youssef Ahmed Kloub, 35-day-old Dalia Al-Masri December 22 : Aisha Sufyan Al-Qassas, a 20-day-old, born in a displacement tent, she lacked protection from the harsh weather and, despite being taken to the hospital, received no proper treatment to be saved. December 25 : Sila Mahmoud Al-Faseeh “froze to death from the extreme cold” in Al-Mawasi, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, the director general of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, posted on X on Wednesday. December 28 : One-month-old Palestinian baby, Jumua al-Batran, tragically passed away from the freezing weather in central Gaza. December 30 : One-month-old Ali Al-Batran (twin brother of Jumua) died at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, quoting medical sources who attributed his death to plummeting temperatures. Israeli settlers injured the elderly Musa Al-Najjar who suffered a fractured skull [Original post] Colonists' Ongoing Attacks on Masafer Yatta Citizens The colonists continue to attack the residents of Masafer Yatta, the Palestinian citizen Musa Al-Najjar was injured and suffered a fractured skull, the Palestinian Al-Najjar is in the hospital receiving the necessary treatment. Interview: Moaz Al-Najjar: Son of the injured Reporting: Sari Jaradat Filmed: 05/01/2025 Donate/Watch/Share elsewhere👇 [Tags: Soldiers and Settlers, Baton, Raid, Agriculture, Palestine Voices, Living conditions, Terror, Impunity, Property, Land theft, Apartheid] [Found by: TVFreePalestine, Sari Jaradat] [Location: West Bank > Masafer Yatta > Qawawis] [Archivist Notes] This village in Masafer Yatta area was regularly harass by violent settlers in order to steal their land. The police's deliberate daily disregard for these crimes enables and legitimizes future attacks. The apartheid regime's unwillingness to enforce the law on settlers serves as an incentive for their acts of terror. Chronology : On April 21, 2020 , Jabarin Abu ‘Aram, a 56-year-old father of nine, was grazing his flock near Qawawis when two settlers from the Mitzpe Yair outpost approached him. One pepper-sprayed him, and both threw stones at him, stealing two of his goats. Abu ‘Aram’s wife intervened, but the settlers fled with the goats. Despite reporting the incident and providing evidence to the police, no action was taken, and the goats were never returned. Abu ‘Aram expressed frustration at the lack of protection, noting that settlers operate with impunity, leaving his family in fear of constant attacks. The outpost of Mitzpe Yair, established in 1998, has a history of encroaching on Palestinian lands near Route 317. source On Sunday, March 17, Jibril Nu’man, 59, was grazing his flock on his private land near Qawawis when a settler soldier ordered him to leave. After refusing, Nu’man and another shepherd, Taleb Nu’man, were handcuffed, detained for five hours without food during Ramadan, and taken to a military camp before being released later that evening. On Saturday, March 23, Jibril Nu’man was again grazing his flock, this time with three Israeli activists, when a settler arrived, followed by two masked soldiers. One soldier threatened Nu’man with a gun, argued over the land’s ownership, and forced him to hand over his ID. After further confrontation, the soldiers tied and blindfolded Nu’man, beat him, and took him to a nearby camp, where he was detained for several hours without food, water, or the ability to pray. He was eventually dropped off far from his village. In a testimony he gave B'tselem field researcher Basel al-Adrah on 23 March 2024, Jibril Nu’man recounted his detention by soldiers, some of whom he recognized as settlers On May 15, Jibrin Abu Aram was arrested for the fourth time in recent months while on his private land by the soldiers-settlers from the Mitzpe Yair outpost, which has been attempting to seize Qawawis' land for years. The stated reason was his presence near an illegal road built by settlers on Palestinian land. Even under apartheid laws, Palestinians are allowed near the road, but colonial practices disregard such laws. On January 2: When settlers attacked Jibrin Abu Aram's neighbor the day before, the army and police refused to intervene, highlighting their role in perpetuating abuse against Palestinians to force them off their land. Settlers infiltrated the village of Qawawis late at night and attacked Khaled Al-Najjar brutally. This is not the first time that Najjar has been injured in a settler attack; in 2001, he was seriously wounded when a settler shot him in the stomach. Yesterday, solidarity activists and residents of Qawawis tried several times to speak with the police and urged them to expel the settlers who invade the village lands and destroy fruit trees with their herds, but the police merely ask the settler to move. Five minutes later, as he goes deeper into the Palestinian orchards with his herd, they refuse to send the police back to the scene On January 3: Soldiers arrested Jibrin Abu Aram from Qawawis while he visited his destroyed house on his private land. They pushed solidarity activists and harassed him, arresting him when he refused to leave.

Israeli special forces raided Balata, disguised in a black ambulance, killing two civilians [Original post] Bloodshed in Balata, A Raid Unforgotten Surveillance footage captured Zionist special forces raiding Balata Refugee Camp, east of Nablus, last week. Disguised in a black ambulance, they fired live ammunition and stun grenades, resulting in the martyrdom of a young man and an elderly woman, along with multiple injuries. Reporting: Faris odeh Filmed: 05/01/2025 Donate/Watch/Share elsewhere👇 [Tags: Stun Grenade, Small Arms, Palestine Voices, Perfidy, Living conditions, Elderly, Summary execution] [Found by: TVFreePalestine, Faris Odeh] [Location: West Bank > Nablus > Balata] [Archivist Notes] On December 19 , a 80-year-old elderly Palestinian woman, Halima Abu Lail, was shot and murdered by Israeli troops during a military raid into Balata camp in Nablus after being shot by Israeli forces in the chest and leg, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed. Another young man, Qusai Sarouji, was kill directly by live amunition during the raid. The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its ambulance crews provided first aid for six wounded civilians, included three people injured by live bullets and two elderly to the hospital: a 70-year-old woman who was shot several times, an elderly man (65 years old) who was shot in the back, and a young man (21 years old) in the abdomen. The PRCS added that Israeli soldiers prevented ambulances from evacuating some casualties and opened fire around them. CCTV footage showed Israeli troops entering the camp using an ambulance, with reinforcements deployed in several neighborhoods to arrest wanted Palestinians. Soldiers used an ambulance to infiltrate the area, resulting in the deaths of two civilians, including 80-year-old Halimah Saleh Hassan Abu Leil. Video evidence and witness testimonies reveal that Israeli forces fired indiscriminately, wounding several people. The Israeli Army later admitted the unauthorized use of a medical vehicle was a "serious offence" and violated international law, which prohibits military use of civilian medical resources. Rights groups, including B’Tselem, condemned the actions as violations of international law and potential war crimes. Among the injured was Hussein Jamal Abu Leil, 25, who underwent life-saving surgery after being shot. Witnesses and relatives insist the victims were civilians unconnected to militias. During the raid, pupils in the camp's UNRWA school had to stay and shelter inside. Names of the martyrs: Qusai Sarouji (25 y/o) Halima Saleh Hussein Abu Lail (80 y/o) Sources :

Today, unfortunately, doctors informed us that Fadi has become permanently paralyzed." Testimony of journalist Islam Badr rushing to evacuate Fadi: "Those were difficult moments. We were in an area that was not sbuject to evacuation orders and far from clashes, wearing our press attire. Palestinian doctor stitched the wounds of a 63 y/o woman without any anesthetic [Original post] This woman is 63 years old, carrying on her face a story of endless pain. She suffers from a broken nose and deep wounds to her head. For context, I stitched the wounds on her head without any local anesthetic, yet she showed no reaction! I know the pain must be severe, but it seems that here in Gaza, we have moved beyond feeling pain—our repeated suffering and endless shocks have numbed us completely. She sat there silently, her hand resting on her cheek, as if silently asking, “How much longer will this injustice last? How much longer will this genocide continue?” I wish I could know what is going through her mind. Is it the pain of loss? Or an unanswerable question about the reason for all this suffering? Thank God, her condition is stable now, but she remains in a deep state of shock—one that words cannot describe. Gaza no longer just weeps; it burns silently in front of the world🙏💔 [Tags: Hospital, Wounded, Humanitarian Aid, Doctors & Volunteers, Women] [Found by: Dr. Hosam Hammouda] [Location: Gaza]
Palestinian man besieged, injured, abducted, and abandoned to die by Israeli forces [Original post] This morning, Israeli forces stormed the town of Meithalun in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, besieged the home of 37 year old Hassan Ali Hassan Rabaya, and opened fire on him, injuring him. He was detained by the invading forces after being injured, and was later announced dead. The Red Crescent said Israeli forces prevented medical teams from reaching Rabaya, who was 'wanted' by Israel. He was the father of Ali Rabaya, who was killed during an Israeli raid in Meithalun last year at the age of 15. [Tags: Prisoner Abuse, Homes, Small Arms, Raid, Blocking Ambulances, Wounded, Living conditions, Terror, Human Dignity, Siege, Summary execution] [Found by: The Cradle] [Location: West Bank > Jenin > Meithalun] [Archivist Notes] On January 5, Sunday morning, Israeli soldiers stormed the town of Meithalun, south of Jenin, opening fire on the home of Hassan Ali Hassan Raba’iya, 37. The Israeli forces surrounded the house of the young man Hassan Ali Hassan Rabaya (37 years old), and fired a hail of bullets at the house, which led to his injury. The Red Crescent Society said that the occupation forces prevented its crews from reaching him inside the besieged house, and arrested him, before his dead was announced later due to his injuries. It is noteworthy that the martyr Rabaya is the father of the child martyr Ali Rabaya (15 years old), who was killed by the occupation forces’ bullets during the storming of Meithalun in July of last year. Yehuda Cohen protests against the letter from eight MKs calling for more intense genocide [Original post] Yehuda Cohen, father of hostage Nimrod Cohen came out to protest the letter that is asking to commit war crimes and kill Gazan civilians alongside his son if it goes through. [Tags: Conquest, Genocidal Intent, Incitement, Living conditions, Freedom of expression] [Found by: @AllHostages] [Location: Knesset > Israel] [Archivist Notes] On December 31 , Eight members of the Israeli Parliament Foreign and Defense Committee - from coalition parties Likud, Religious Zionism and Jewish Power - write Defense Minister Katz, demanding he issues order to Israeli forces in Gaza North to: Destroy all energy sources including fuel, solar systems, generators and power lines. Destroy all food sources including warehouses, water and water pumps. Lay siege and remotely kill everyone not flying a white flag of surrender. In regard to the Rome Statute and historical works, this letter constitutes a textbook on genocide incitement and planning. Signatories : The letter, signed by members of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, including Amit Halevi, Zvi Sukkot, Ariel Kellner, Ohad Tal, Nissim Vaturi, and Osher Shekalim. One of the signatories is Ariel Kallner, a Likud member and head of the Knesset delegation for relations with the European Parliament, a frequent visitor to Brussels. In October 2023, he stated: “We now have only one goal: the Nakba! A Nakba that will eclipse that of 1948.” This plan primarily concerns the northern part of the Mefalsim (Jabalia) Corridor: : Israeli media revealed on Nov. 10 2024, new maps indicating the creation of a military corridor separating northern Gaza's Jabalia from Gaza City. This corridor stretches from eastern Jabalia to the Mediterranean Sea coast near Beit Lahia. Since Oct. 5, the Israeli army has been conducting daily operations to demolish homes and clear the area for expanded control. Although Israel denies implementing the so-called "generals' plan" for the depopulation of northern Gaza to facilitate the return of illegal Israeli settlers, military action on the ground suggests otherwise. Haaretz reports have noted that thousands have already been uprooted in the area, much of which lays in ruin, as many residents are unable to return to their destroyed homes. source The complete text translated in English : "We appeal to you, as members of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, so that you re-examine the operational plan of the fighting in the Gaza Strip, in view of its dire results so far and the expected continuation. We will specify as follows: The operational action in the Gaza Strip, as presented to us in the Foreign and Security Committee by the previous Minister of Defense even before the ground operation began on 27.10.23, and as it has been carried out since then in the field, does not allow the goals of the war as defined by the political echelon. The decline of governmental and military capabilities of Hamas has not been realized to this day, even though it is a small area and against an enemy that does not possess the tools and capabilities of a modern army. As stated by the Hermatchail in public, Tsha'al operates with a method of targeted raids, a method that lacks the central component in this type of guerrilla warfare: control. Effective control of the territory and the population is the only basis for cleansing the enemy's nests from the Strip and, of course, for a decision and victory, not for a shuffling and a war of attrition in which the main exhausted party is Israel. That is why we repeatedly put our soldiers into neighborhoods and alleys that have already been conquered by them many times. Places that the heads of the IDF declared as cleared of the enemy, where the Hamas battalions were disbanded and destroyed. And in those places, we pay a terrible and unbearable blood price. From October 6, 2024, an operation in a different direction began in the north of the Gaza Strip, south of the Mefalsim axis, which included encirclement and evacuation of the population to the south. We all hoped that this was the beginning of military actions that would bring about the necessary change, but it seems that this action is not being done properly; that is, after the cordon and the humanitarian evacuation, the IDF does not respond, as is customary in international law. The Western armies view those who remain as enemies, once again endangering the lives of our soldiers by entering the built and tangled area. After the encirclement and evacuation of the population, the instructions to the IDF should be clear: (1) Remote destruction of all energy sources, i.e., fuel, solar installations, and any relevant means (pipes, cables, generators, etc.). (2) Destruction of all sources of food, including warehouses, water, and any relevant means (water pumps, etc.). (3) Remote elimination of anyone who moves in the area and does not come out with a white flag during the days of the effective siege. After these actions and the days of the siege on those who remain, a soldier should gradually enter into a complete purification of the enemy's nests. This must be done in the north of the Gaza Strip and in the same way in every area cell after encirclement, evacuation of the population to a humanitarian area, and remote assurance of the elimination of the enemy. This is how every army behaves and how the Defense Forces should behave as well. Despite repeated questions and requests in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, we have not received satisfactory answers from Tsha'al representatives in the committee to date. Why do they not act as required and define the decision of Hamas as operational and to the fighting, and what are the plans for the continuation? Therefore, we request your immediate intervention in answering these questions and providing appropriate instructions to the IDF to reach a decision and stop endangering the lives of our soldiers without justification. In Burqa, rebuild tents and agricultural farms after settlers demolished them [Original post] Residents of the town of Burqa, east of Ramallah, Palestine, rebuild tents and agricultural farms after settlers demolished them. #Palestine #westbank #Ramallah [Tags: Soldiers and Settlers, Raid, Agriculture, Rebuilding, Living conditions, Infrastructure, Terror, Sumud] [Found by: @Bluby_y] [Location: West Bank > Nablus > Burqa] [Archivist Notes] Israeli settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Burqa near Nablus almost daily, especially after returning to the illegal Homesh outpost. The Homesh outpost, built on Burqa's land, was evacuated in 2005 as part of Israel’s "disengagement plan." Recently, settlers built a religious school at Homesh after the Israeli army lifted a ban on returning to the site. Settler Violence Escalation since 2023: Attacks often involve settlers throwing stones, burning property, or damaging homes. Only major attacks, like destruction of a livestock barrack and cemetery damage, draw media attention. Legal and International Reaction: Despite multiple Israeli court rulings in favor of Burqa residents reclaiming their land, the army has denied them access. The US and EU criticized Israel’s decision to allow settlers back to Homesh, calling it harmful to peace efforts. Broader Context: Settler violence has surged in the West Bank, with incidents like the February 2023 attack on Hawara, where settlers torched homes, cars, and killed one Palestinian. Israeli policies, led by far-right ministers, have facilitated settlement expansion and targeted Palestinian communities. This incicents are escalated since October 7, 2023. The residents of Burqa continue to face daily violence and displacement as settlers expand their presence in the West Bank. Source :
