The family was having dinner at their grandfather’s home when the area was bombed with “fire belts,” killing three members instantly and leaving Amr buried under rubble. He survived with shrapnel lodged in his brain, metal plates in both legs, and severe trauma. Once healthy and joyful, Amr had been lying in intensive care at Nasser Hospital, unable to speak and barely able to move. Today, thanks to the efforts of doctors and supporters who fought for his case, Amr was transferred out of #Gaza to #Italy to begin his treatment journey.
