Newly released footage by the PAL Law Commission on War Crimes shows at least eight Israeli tanks shelling the floors of the Turkish Hospital following their reoccupation of central Gaza after breaking the ceasefire. 'F' and other farmers tried to drive away the invading herd and in response Sharvit fired his gun in the air several times. On that evening, Sharvit returned to the field, accompanied by the army. 'F' was there with his brother and parents. Sharvit accused them of hurling stones and the army ordered the family to leave the area. Just as they were leaving, Sharvit rammed into them with his ATV, in full view of the Israeli army. 'F' was badly hurt and needed treatment. While in the clinic, 'F' received a call telling him the Army arrested his mother, father and brother,.and that he must turn himself in to secure their release. When he arrived at 20:00, he was taken together with his parents and brother to Hamra checkpoint. 'F' told us about his arrest: "They seated us on the ground and took our phones. They blindfolded us and tied our hands behind our backs. Later, when the soldiers saw that our eyes were closing, they hit us on the back and poured cold water on our heads. They also stabbed us in the neck with pins. Humiliated us. When my mother asked to use the toilet the soldier shouted at her "shut up! You daughter of a whore'" At 5:30 the following morning 'F' and his family were released, after over 9 hours of arrest. That same evening soldiers showed up at his home and warned him not to cause any trouble. Since then he's scared to go back to his field. 'F' is in serious debt and without the work in the field he will not be able to pay it.
