He lost his pregnant mother and young brother in a horrific #Israeli airstrike. His father was severely injured. Now, Amr lies between life and death. A shrapnel pierced his skull and lodged deep in his head, causing partial paralysis and leaving him unable to speak, eat, or breathe on his own. He survives only through a mechanical ventilator, after his airway was badly damaged. He also suffered abdominal injuries that left his internal organs exposed, a broken left leg, and deep wounds in his right foot. Amr is in constant pain, bleeding endlessly, suffering from persistent high fever, seizures and a life-threatening shrapnel wound to the head that cannot be treated inside #Gaza He urgently needs medical transfer and treatment abroad. Her husband, Dr. Hamdi al-Najjar, was critically injured in the same attack and later martyred. Only Adam, 11-year-old, survived with serious injuries and remains hospitalized. The strike hit their home just after Hamdi dropped Alaa off for her hospital shift. At work, she had to identify her children by the remnants of their burned bodies. Despite it all, she returned to care for her son and husband. The criminal #Israeli military said it was "reviewing claims of civilian casualties", a phrase repeated after each bombing of #Gaza’s doctors, clinics, and hospitals.
