Journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi needs treatment [Original post] فادي لازم يتعالج [Tags: Quadcopter, Wounded, Journalism] [Found by: Osama Abu Rabee أسامة أبوربيع, Sami Abu Tabak] [Location: Gaza > Jabalia > North Gaza] [Archivist Notes] On October 9, in the afternoon, the IDF carried out three separate attacks targeting different journalist teams during their live coverage of the Israeli assault on North Gaza. Abu Sharkh area: Mohammed Al-Tanani murdered & Tamer Lubbad injured Palestinian photojournalist Mohammed Al-Tanani was killed by Israeli snipers while reporting on the Israeli ground invasion of the Jabalia camp. His colleague Tamer Lubbad, also a correspondent for Al-Aqsa TV, was injured. On the same day, the IDF completely closed off all access to and from Jabalia and fired at anyone attempting to leave. Journalists documenting the scenes started referring to the Abu Sharkh roundabout as the "Death Intersection/Roundabout." Al-Tanani’s body was retrieved despite Israeli occupation forces targeting the rescue teams. Palestinian Red Crescent crews transported the casualties to Al-Ahli Hospital. The moment Al-Aqsa TV cameraman Mohammed Al-Tanani was targeted. Video by Yahya Alfarra on Instagram Journalist Emad Ghaboun (@EmadGhaboun) tribute : The body of the martyr , fellow journalist Muhammad al-Tanani, after fulfilling his media duty, was assassinated today by the occupying forces. Your work as a journalist in Gaza means you could be killed by the occupation at any time. Al-Saftawi: Fadi Al-Wahidi injured and paralyzed Al-Jazeera photojournalist Fadi Al-Wahidi was shot in the neck by an Israeli dronewho chased him and colleagues while they were fleeing the area near Osama Bin Zaid School. The injury made him paraplegic as confirmed by his firend and colleague Anas Al-Sharif "Today, I stand next to Fadi while he is in a coma, after he had been standing in front of me and surrounding me from all sides, so that the picture was conveyed with the utmost professionalism. Today, unfortunately, doctors informed us that Fadi has become permanently paralyzed." Testimony of journalist Islam Badr rushing to evacuate Fadi: "Those were difficult moments. We were in an area that was not sbuject to evacuation orders and far from clashes, wearing our press attire. However, Israelis shot at us directly, twice, to ensure we were hit and unfortunately, they succeeded. The army didn’t stop firing even after Fadi fell. I went back to get him, and unfortunately, he was unconscious."* Islam shared more details in his report Anas al-Sharif and Hossam Shabat, who were also on the scene testified that the group of journalists worked in a safe place, far from any dangerous places and clashes when they were targeted. Hossam Shabat " I took this photo of Fadi moments before he was shot and he was directly targeted. He told me not to take risks and not to advance into the dangerous zone, but Fadi was targeted in the zone which was a thousand meters from danger. It is clear from this that the attacks were aimed at journalists." Testimony of Anas Al-Sharif (Al Jazeera Corespondant) "The doctor told me a short while ago that my brother and beloved Fadi Al-Wahidi's health condition is very serious and he needs urgent surgery. The X-ray image that was just taken showed a rupture in the cervical vertebrae of the spine… …and the operation may also result in hemiplegia that may affect our colleague Fadi, God forbid. Praying for Fadi's safety and recovery. There is no power nor strength save with Allah" Journalist Omar Al-Balaawi murdered at home by a drone Later in the day, Palestinian journalist and English teacher Omar Al-Balaawi was killed by drone fire while he was at the window of his home on Al-Jalaa Street, Gaza City. His last social media post reads: "We will remain steadfast, we will not leave except to heaven #North Gaza." Updates on Fadi Al-Wahidi's conditions: On October 11, Fadi awoke from his coma, but Israel would continue denying global appeals to allow him to leave the Gaza Strip for medical treatment. In protest his mother afflicted with cancer entered a hunger strike on November 16, 2024, and suffered health complications shortly after. Fadi continued sharing desperate appeals until, after 122 days Israel finally allowed him to leave Gaza for treatment on February 8, 2025, three weeks into the ceasefire

Whta was their sin? That they said our Lord is Allah? They (Israel) want to kill the Prophet's way in Palestine? By Allah we tell them, we won't leave Gaza unless we go to heaven. We will remaind steadfast God willing. The enemy's planes and bombs do not scare. In fact we ask to be martyred every day. But we ask the Arab nation to wake up, the Muslims, anyone who says there is no god except Allah to do so. This baby girl will be their opponent (arguing against them) before God.

A reporting black-out ensued until the next morning. Closing post by journalist Yusuf Fares "Let’s be realistic. Over the past year, the occupation army has turned the lives of the displaced in the south of Gaza into a living hell. More than a million people are crammed into an area that does not exceed 10 square kilometers. They live in tents, with death chasing them through bombings and fires, and they face displacement whenever the enemy decides to make their already harsh lives more miserable. The occupation has pushed our people, who were forced to flee, to the point where they prefer death in the north of Gaza over displacement to the south. As a result, there is no longer any logical reason to flee to the south, especially as we approach the winter season. Why would one leave a roof that shelters them to seek a tent they might not even find? Let’s set aside the blending of heroism and legendary stories. Most of those who decided to stay in the north of Gaza heard firsthand accounts from those previously displaced to the south, and they logically decided not to take the road of potential death through Netzarim, only to settle into despair, regret, or further bombardment in the south and central areas of the Gaza Strip. When we call on people to stay, we are urging them to hold on to logic above all else."

Within 10 minutes of those early alarms, a violent Israeli air strike had taken out an entire residential block near Al-Omari Mosque, on Al-Mahkama (court) Street in Jabalia Al-Balad. bombing destroyed three houses belonging to five families Dardouna, Assaf, Azzam, Ghunaim and Junaid 22 people were killed , including 15 from the Assaf family and a 7-months-old infant. Clearly moved by their distress, he later posted: "The bereaved families call on me to photograph and document the crimes of the occupation, so that their cries and appeals may reach them. Hoping that consciences will move and the world will respond to stop the ongoing massacres against innocent civilians." “Oh God, give patience and healing to people’s hearts. I was shocked by this young man’s request as he carried the body of his martyred brother.” and finally Without exaggeration, these are the most difficult days of the Israeli war on Gaza." Also affected by the scale of this catastrophe, journalist Islam Bader, after reporting for Al-Araby TV, posted "What a sad report... I started it with the body of a baby girl who had not yet reached three months and ended it in front of a Hajj (elderly) embracing the body of his son... and a young man embracing the body of his brother... There is no power nor strength except with God. The Jabalia Holocaust continues. Are you listening?" He followed up with a pair of PHOTOS and the caption: "I grew tired of sleeping in the car, so I took a picture to remind myself after the war ended! [Tags: Homes, Bombs, Mourning, Children, Families, Night massacre] [Found by: Islam Bader | إسلام بدر] [Location: Gaza > Gaza City > Al-Ahli Arab (Baptist) Hospital > North Gaza > Jabalia al-Balad] [Archivist Notes] "*The IOF perpetrated a massacre against the Assaf family in Jabalia al-Balad as it destroyed their multi-story house and did not leave survivors. The remains of the martyrs were brought to the Baptist hospital as torn body parts. A large number of martyrs, including this infant girl, were carried by her relative. Tell me what happened. *The house belonged to the Assaf family and was located in Jabalia al-Balad near the Omari mosque. The house was struck without warning. The house was full of people, and 15 martyrs are under the rubble. These ones are just a few of them. This 3-month-old girl was killed in cold blood. Her mother, father, and sister were also killed. The family has been effectively wiped off the civil registry. This family was not affiliated with any resistance faction. So Israel is bombing civilians, so they leave for southern Gaza. But we will remain steadfast and won't leave until we're taken to heaven. We say to the Zionists, no matter how you bomb and destroy, we will remain steadfast until we meet God as martyrs. This is my sister's. My brothers were martyred in this war, and I am proud that my family was martyred in the cause of Allah. But we want to send a message to the Arab and Muslim nations: What are you waiting for? (Your) innocent children are being killed mercilessly without even a warning because they didn't want to leave north Gaza, which the occupation wants. If you remain silent, your turn will come next, one country after another, and they will do to you what they do to us. I ask the Arab leaders and people to mobilize to fulfill the religious duty of Jihad. Our prophet, peace be upon him, told us to defend any inch of land that's been occupied. Another survivor, who lost his little brother and father, sends a message appealing to God and calling to the Arabs to move. "*Bodies are laid out here and on the other side as well, and families are surrounding their murdered relatives and bidding them farewell following this and other strikes focused on Jabalia al-Balad tonight, while the Israeli continues across northern Gaza. The IOF is committing massacres in an unprecedented manner to force Palestinians to leave Jabalia al-Balad and Jabalia camp and move towards the south, whereas the residents insist on staying in spite of the heavy price they pay."

The journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi was also targeted while with his Al-Jazeera team in a place full of people in al-Jalaa area. Suddenly an IDF quadcopter shot him. He was not in a closed military zone as the IDF claimed. He was in among citizens. The Al-jazeera team was directly targeted. Also, our colleague Mohammed Al-Tanani was intentionally targeted along with colleague Tamer Lubbad. These attacks on journalists are part of a series of murders carried out by the IOF, such as Wael Al-Dahdouh's home, Samer Abu Daqqa, and Shireen Abu Akled in the West Bank before. Today these scenes are being repeated now on the ground but we will continue sharing the truth and our mics will not fall to the ground despite all the dangers.

In Qalandia, what should be a simple crossing becomes a humiliating nightmare [Original post] ⭕ Scenes from the Qalandia checkpoint show the relentless struggles of Palestinian workers. As they queue for work in Al-Quds, they face constant harassment and brutal treatment by zionist terrorists. What should be a simple crossing becomes a humiliating nightmare. [Tags: Humiliation, Machine Gun, Raid, Living conditions, Terror, Property, Armored vehicle, Siege] [Found by: @Palestinecapti1] [Location: West Bank > East Jerusalem > Qalandia RC] [Archivist Notes] On Monday October 7, for the Annniversary of the ongoing war, Israeli soldiers invaded the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank, fatally shot a Palestinian child, shot seven Palestinians, including three children, and abducted twenty citizens. Since early morning, large forces have stormed Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab, spreading throughout the camp and its main street. Storming houses , widespread arrests, and significant destruction inside homes. Qalandiya is an Israeli military checkpoint located between Ramallah and Jerusalem in the occupied Palestinian territories. It is a crucial transit point for Palestinians traveling between the northern and southern parts of the West Bank. Approximately 9,000 vehicles pass through Qalandiya checkpoint daily, highlighting its heavy usage and importance for local commuters. Due to Israeli traffic restrictions, the adjacent road has become an essential route for movement from Ramallah to the southern West Bank. Harassment of Palestinian Workers at Qalandiya checkpoint : Palestinian workers passing through the checkpoint to reach Jerusalem (Al-Quds) were subjected to special harassment and brutal and humiliating treatment by Israeli forces. Fatal Shooting of a Palestinian Child: On October 7, 2024, during an Israeli military incursion into Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab refugee camps in occupied East Jerusalem, 12-year-old Hatem Sami Hisham Ghaith was shot in the abdomen by Israeli forces. The child was transported to the Palestine Medical Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries due to severe bleeding and intestinal damage, as confirmed by the Palestinian Health Ministry. Widespread Injuries and Casualties: During the same raid, Israeli forces used live ammunition, injuring seven other Palestinians, including three children. One individual remains in critical condition after being shot in the head. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported treating the injured, most of whom suffered from live bullet wounds, while one individual was struck in the head by a rubber-coated steel bullet. 9 injuries were treated by Red Crescent crews from Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab near Jerusalem. 8 of the injuries were from live bullets, and one person was martyred after being killed by a rubber bullet in the head. Violent Raids and Arrests: The occupation forces besiege all entrances to Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, and deploy snipers on the outskirts of Al-Mukhayth. Israeli soldiers raided dozens of homes in Qalandiya camp, causing damage and arresting at least 20 Palestinians, including siblings and former political prisoners. In addition to the physical violence and arrests , Israeli forces confiscated dozens of vehicles owned by residents of Qalandiya camp and the neighboring town of Kafr Aqab. The Israeli forces were seen confiscated a luxury vehicle belonging to a resident during the raid. Some sources say it was an Israelien stolen vehicle (yellow imatriculation) -Violent confrontations have erupted in the alleys of Qalandiya camp and neighboring towns, resulting in injuries and fatalities, including the death of Hatem Ghaith. The Israeli forces were seen shooting towards civilian homes after being stoned. Roads around Qalandiya camp and the neighboring town of Kafr Aqab were blocked, further restricting movement and access to essential services for residents. Israeli occupation forces fire tear gas canisters at Palestinian youth during their raid into Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem. “Who wants to be martyred today?” An armed Israeli soldier was seen mocking and provoking residents of Qalandia camp. The situation remains volatile, with Israeli forces continuing their military presence in the area. Assault on Journalists : During the ongoing military assault on Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab, Israeli forces assaulted journalist Ishaq Al-Khisbah while he was covering the events. Al-Khisbah was severely beaten and had to be hospitalized for treatment. Broader Context of Clashes and Arrests in West Bank : In recent days, Israeli forces have arrested at least 45 Palestinians across various governorates in the occupied West Bank, including Hebron, Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Jenin. The arrests include a journalist, a former prisoner, and dozens of others, adding to the total of over 11,100 Palestinians detained since the war began a year ago. The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society and the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs confirm that Israeli forces not only target individuals but also threaten detainees and their families during these operations.
