His colleague Tamer Lubbad, also a correspondent for Al-Aqsa TV, was injured. On the same day, the IDF completely closed off all access to and from Jabalia and fired at anyone attempting to leave. Journalists documenting the scenes started referring to the Abu Sharkh roundabout as the "Death Intersection/Roundabout." Al-Tanani’s body was retrieved despite Israeli occupation forces targeting the rescue teams. Palestinian Red Crescent crews transported the casualties to Al-Ahli Hospital. The moment Al-Aqsa TV cameraman Mohammed Al-Tanani was targeted. Your work as a journalist in Gaza means you could be killed by the occupation at any time. Al-Saftawi: Fadi Al-Wahidi injured and paralyzed Al-Jazeera photojournalist Fadi Al-Wahidi was shot in the neck by an Israeli dronewho chased him and colleagues while they were fleeing the area near Osama Bin Zaid School. The injury made him paraplegic as confirmed by his firend and colleague Anas Al-Sharif "Today, I stand next to Fadi while he is in a coma, after he had been standing in front of me and surrounding me from all sides, so that the picture was conveyed with the utmost professionalism. Today, unfortunately, doctors informed us that Fadi has become permanently paralyzed." Testimony of journalist Islam Badr rushing to evacuate Fadi: "Those were difficult moments. We were in an area that was not sbuject to evacuation orders and far from clashes, wearing our press attire. However, Israelis shot at us directly, twice, to ensure we were hit and unfortunately, they succeeded. The army didn’t stop firing even after Fadi fell. I went back to get him, and unfortunately, he was unconscious."* Islam shared more details in his report Anas al-Sharif and Hossam Shabat, who were also on the scene testified that the group of journalists worked in a safe place, far from any dangerous places and clashes when they were targeted. Hossam Shabat " I took this photo of Fadi moments before he was shot and he was directly targeted. He told me not to take risks and not to advance into the dangerous zone, but Fadi was targeted in the zone which was a thousand meters from danger. It is clear from this that the attacks were aimed at journalists." Testimony of Anas Al-Sharif (Al Jazeera Corespondant) "The doctor told me a short while ago that my brother and beloved Fadi Al-Wahidi's health condition is very serious and he needs urgent surgery. The X-ray image that was just taken showed a rupture in the cervical vertebrae of the spine… …and the operation may also result in hemiplegia that may affect our colleague Fadi, God forbid. Praying for Fadi's safety and recovery. Fadi continued sharing desperate appeals until, after 122 days Israel finally allowed him to leave Gaza for treatment on February 8, 2025, three weeks into the ceasefire

[Tags: Displacement, Living conditions, Artillery shelling, Siege] [Found by: Islam Bader | إسلام بدر, Imad Zakout] [Location: Gaza > Jabalia] [Archivist Notes] I am in the Abu Sharkh area, at the last point we can safely reach. As you can see, people are hurrying in their displacement while carrying few essentials. They are trying to cross this area, the only pathway remaining leading out of Jabalia, following the army's last displacement orders. The IOF destroyed this building and the other to ensure the road is closed off and ensure ambulances are unable to cross it and save casualties. Some of the people are struggling to drag their belongings. People are trying to help each other. A woman over there is with a infant and this young man rushed to help her. Now and then IOF open fire. Despite this wave of displacement, there are still hundreds, thousands in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and around Kamal Adwan hospital who are besieged inside Jabalia. As time goes on, more people are being martyred. They can either be reached and brought to hospital, or will remain there at home or on the street. The situation is growing more difficult, and shels continue to be fired all around.

IDF spokesperson Peter Lerner denies the Israeli responsability in the Hind Rajab murder [Original post] Satellite images have shown that the IDF were in the area at the time of five-year-old Hind and her extended family's death. IDF spokesperson Peter Lerner tells @SkyYaldaHakim "from our investigation, we were not in that area." [Tags: Vehicles, Blocking Ambulances, Massacre, Terror, Radio / TV, Children, Hasbara, Healthcare workers, Families, IDF Spokesperson's Unit] [Location: Gaza City] [Archivist Notes] IDF disputes Sky News investigation into death of five-year-old girl Lead world news presenter Yalda Hakim has put questions to IDF spokesperson Peter Lerner over the findings of a Sky News investigation into the killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab. On 29 January, her family's car was attacked, killing the adults inside as they tried to escape Gaza City. Hind Rajab, was a five-year-old Palestinian girl, was killed by Israeli artillery strike in the Gaza Strip during an Israeli invasion. Six of her family members and two paramedics who attempted to rescue her also died. Incident Details: Rajab and her family were fleeing Gaza City when their vehicle was shelled by Israeli forces. The attack killed Rajab's uncle, aunt, and three cousins. Only Rajab and another cousin survived initially. Her cousin contacted the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for help, but was later killed, leaving Rajab stranded in the vehicle for hours. PRCS paramedics attempted to rescue Rajab but were killed during their attempt. Rajab and the paramedics were found dead on 10 February after an Israeli withdrawal. Israel’s Response: Israel denied responsibility, claiming no troops were present in the neighborhood and denying any attack. Investigations using satellite imagery and visual evidence showed Israeli tanks were present and likely fired on the vehicle with civilians visible inside. Forensic Architecture's investigation concluded that an Israeli tank likely fired 335 rounds at the vehicle and also targeted the ambulance coming to rescue Rajab. Media and Public Reaction: Western media faced criticism for not properly attributing responsibility for Rajab's death and for portraying her in an adultified manner. American student protestors renamed buildings in honor of Rajab, bringing more attention to the incident.

A Palestinian child was shot dead and others were injured by the Israeli bullets in Qalandia [Original post] A Palestinian child was shot dead and others were injured by the occupation forces in Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem. [Tags: Humiliation, Machine Gun, Raid, Living conditions, Terror, Property, Children, Armored vehicle, Siege, Summary execution] [Found by: Eye on Palestine] [Location: West Bank > East Jerusalem > Qalandia RC] [Archivist Notes] On Monday October 7, for the Annniversary of the ongoing war, Israeli soldiers invaded the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank, fatally shot a Palestinian child, shot seven Palestinians, including three children, and abducted twenty citizens. Since early morning, large forces have stormed Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab, spreading throughout the camp and its main street. Storming houses , widespread arrests, and significant destruction inside homes. Qalandiya is an Israeli military checkpoint located between Ramallah and Jerusalem in the occupied Palestinian territories. It is a crucial transit point for Palestinians traveling between the northern and southern parts of the West Bank. Approximately 9,000 vehicles pass through Qalandiya checkpoint daily, highlighting its heavy usage and importance for local commuters. Due to Israeli traffic restrictions, the adjacent road has become an essential route for movement from Ramallah to the southern West Bank. Harassment of Palestinian Workers at Qalandiya checkpoint : Palestinian workers passing through the checkpoint to reach Jerusalem (Al-Quds) were subjected to special harassment and brutal and humiliating treatment by Israeli forces. Fatal Shooting of a Palestinian Child: On October 7, 2024, during an Israeli military incursion into Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab refugee camps in occupied East Jerusalem, 12-year-old Hatem Sami Hisham Ghaith was shot in the abdomen by Israeli forces. The child was transported to the Palestine Medical Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries due to severe bleeding and intestinal damage, as confirmed by the Palestinian Health Ministry. Widespread Injuries and Casualties: During the same raid, Israeli forces used live ammunition, injuring seven other Palestinians, including three children. One individual remains in critical condition after being shot in the head. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported treating the injured, most of whom suffered from live bullet wounds, while one individual was struck in the head by a rubber-coated steel bullet. 9 injuries were treated by Red Crescent crews from Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab near Jerusalem. 8 of the injuries were from live bullets, and one person was martyred after being killed by a rubber bullet in the head. Violent Raids and Arrests: The occupation forces besiege all entrances to Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, and deploy snipers on the outskirts of Al-Mukhayth. Israeli soldiers raided dozens of homes in Qalandiya camp, causing damage and arresting at least 20 Palestinians, including siblings and former political prisoners. In addition to the physical violence and arrests , Israeli forces confiscated dozens of vehicles owned by residents of Qalandiya camp and the neighboring town of Kafr Aqab. The Israeli forces were seen confiscated a luxury vehicle belonging to a resident during the raid. Some sources say it was an Israelien stolen vehicle (yellow imatriculation) -Violent confrontations have erupted in the alleys of Qalandiya camp and neighboring towns, resulting in injuries and fatalities, including the death of Hatem Ghaith. The Israeli forces were seen shooting towards civilian homes after being stoned. Roads around Qalandiya camp and the neighboring town of Kafr Aqab were blocked, further restricting movement and access to essential services for residents. Israeli occupation forces fire tear gas canisters at Palestinian youth during their raid into Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem. “Who wants to be martyred today?” An armed Israeli soldier was seen mocking and provoking residents of Qalandia camp. The situation remains volatile, with Israeli forces continuing their military presence in the area. Assault on Journalists : During the ongoing military assault on Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab, Israeli forces assaulted journalist Ishaq Al-Khisbah while he was covering the events. Al-Khisbah was severely beaten and had to be hospitalized for treatment. Broader Context of Clashes and Arrests in West Bank : In recent days, Israeli forces have arrested at least 45 Palestinians across various governorates in the occupied West Bank, including Hebron, Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Jenin. The arrests include a journalist, a former prisoner, and dozens of others, adding to the total of over 11,100 Palestinians detained since the war began a year ago. The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society and the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs confirm that Israeli forces not only target individuals but also threaten detainees and their families during these operations. He was on his way to help the neighbors after the first attack. He reached the place and was targeted again and again. My brother and the neighbors were killed. 14 martyrs from the neighbors. I know them all. I love them all. *We remembered them all. May God have mercy on them. One by one, they got their share and won Paradise. We continued to endure the pain, oppression, and helplessness. I feel sorry for you, my brother, and I love you very much. *I was not sad about your martyrdom. On the contrary, I was happy for you. I was sad about your children. After you, I was sad about my mother and father. I was sad and upset because I was far from you. I did not hug you or say goodbye or carry you on my shoulder. *As always, I was sad that I was not with your children in such a situation. From the beginning of the war, you were my companion and we carried each other. We ran to help the entire camp. I will never forget the day when the house was bombed on us and you and I got out from under the rubble to help your children and our families. I will never forget how much you were Strong, patient and content. I am sorry for your departure. I am sorry for everything, my brother. May God have mercy on you and treat you well and make your abode in heaven. You are the predecessors. *May God give patience to my mother, father and children. God willing, God will keep them safe and we will be able to carry them and be with them. My brother Omar was martyred on October 7th in the Jabalia camp massacre in the Abu Qamar area in northern Gaza

His widow shared details of the raid: “ We were asleep at 4 a.m. when the army surrounded the house and arrested my son. They took him out of the house. His father wanted to run after him, but they didn’t let him. They pushed the door into him, and he fell and died. He became a martyr. We called the ambulance and it didn’t arrive.
