In the same month, her father was killed in an Israeli occupation strike on their home in the north, and his body could not be recovered due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes in the area. Rahaf now lives in a tent in northern Gaza, taking on the responsibility of looking after her four siblings amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
