B'tselem investigation on the summary execution of Rayan Abu M’ala 16 y/à in Qabatiya [Original post] On Saturday, 20 December 2025, Israeli forces raided the town of Qabatiyah in the West Bank. Local youths responded by throwing stones at the armored jeeps. During the raid, and after the stone-throwing had ceased, a soldier shot 16 year old Rayan Abu M’ala. Eyewitnesses heard 3–5 shots fired from close range. The Israeli military claimed that the shooting was a response to Abu M’ala throwing a brick at the forces. However, footage from the scene refutes this claim. After the shooting, soldiers prevented a Palestinian ambulance from evacuating Abu M’ala, leaving him on the ground for about half an hour. He was later taken in a military jeep. His body has been held by Israel ever since. This is not an isolated case, but a direct result of a permissive open-fire policy in the West Bank. Since October 2023, Israel has killed 1,022 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 221 minors. Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives continue to be treated as expendable. Even when killings are carried out in front of cameras, and when it is clear they were committed in violation of the rules and the law, no one is held accountable. Their target was Ahmad Abd al-Bari Zamzam, deputy director of internal security in Gaza's central governorate, the man responsible for infiltrating and dismantling collaboration networks operating inside the strip. The militia is led by a former Palestinian Authority security officer, Shawqi Abu Nuseira, who describes his relationship with Israeli occupation intelligence as "a strong one and a deep friendship," and its work goes beyond assassinations: raiding aid trucks, detecting tunnels, luring wanted individuals, handing them to the occupation, and stealing and desecrating the bodies of martyrs. Settlers attempted to dig up multiple buried water pipes in Ras Al-Ein Ras Al-Auja [Original post] 🚨 TODAY: settlers and army assault village in West Bank This morning at approximately 10 A.M in the village of Ras al Ein, a group of Israeli settlers, some of whom were under the age of 18, began attacking Palestinian infrastructure. Settlers attempted to dig up multiple buried water pipes, trespassed on Palestinian properties, and began assaulting activists. With them, settlers brought children as young as toddlers to witness and support the violence. Shortly after the attack began, Israeli security forces from nearby settlements, along with police, and military personnel responded to the scene. Upon arrival, security forces accused activists of participating in illegal activity and detained them en-masse for nearly three hours. During this time, Ahmed Jahaleen, a local Palestinian man was kidnapped by Israeli military personnel and transported to a local military base. He was released later in the evening. While detained, police officers demanded that all activists present identification. One activist, Dean Talkoff, a dual Israeli-American citizen, demanded that officers produce a justification for the request. In response, police officer Offir Aharonovitch brutally assaulted the activist. Aharonovitch punched Dean in the face, choked him, and repeatedly slammed his body into rocks. Dean endured multiple assaults before being forced into a police vehicle and transported to Shaar Binyamin jail. He has not been released. These assaults are just the most recent events in an escalating pattern of settler violence in the village of Ras Al Ein. The village is largest remaining Bedouin community in the Southern Jordan Valley, and following the complete ethnic cleansing of the neighboring village of Muarrajat, has become a prime target of settler gangs. Currently, Ras al Ein is surrounded by multiple illegal outposts where over the last eighteen months, settlers and their supporters in local security forces, have mounted an increasingly violent campaign of terror designed to expel the Palestinian community from the area. Israeli forces directly targeted civil defense crews with a drone while they were on duty at Al‑Falah School [Original post] ❗️The spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, said that Israeli occupation forces directly targeted their crews with a drone while they were on a humanitarian rescue mission at Al-Falah School in the Al-Zaytoun area, where displaced families had been sheltering. Seven civil defense personnel were injured, and rescue worker Monther Raed Al-Dahshan was killed. Basal asks: “Why is the person wearing this orange vest killed? Why are our crews killed, those who only serve people and provide humanitarian service?” More than 30 members of Gaza’s Civil Defense have been killed by the Israeli terrorist army asince the genocide began, despite international law guaranteeing them protection.
