Gaza Civil Defense: More than 20 tents sheltering displaced families in the designated safe zone of Mawasi in Khan Younis were bombed in five consecutive missile strikes. After the bombing, the tents were completely obliterated, and craters 9 meters deep were formed. Many people are still missing underground. So far, 14 bodies have been recovered and numerous injured have been transported to the hospital. Over 20 tents were struck and completely destroyed in the area. The violent bombardment caused fire to break out along with three craters as deep as 10 metres, burying displaced people and their tents under the sand.
