August 10th, 2024 - Anas breaks down at the site of the Tabeen School dawn massacre, where 93 martyrs ascended. In the face of horror, Anas declared, "I will rise and carry out my journalistic duty towards my people and my homeland." October 24th, 2024 "Whoever is wounded will be martyred ," following Jabalia massacre that resulted in 170 martyrs, wounded and missing. November 5th, 2024 "They slept hungry and were martyred hungry ," following Gaza City massacre that resulted in 9 martyred children. November 20th, 2024 - A plea from martyrs Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Quraqi to take action to save colleague Fadi Al-Wahidi, who was months later treated for injuries outside of Gaza January 15th, 2025 - Anas sheds his press helmet-which has been "drowning" him—and vest—which he considers part of his body—following the announcement of the short-lived Gaza ceasefire. He pays tribute his his martyred colleague Ismail Al-Ghoul as he is raised on the shoulders of his colleagues. 265 journalists have ascended to martyrdom in Gaza since October 2023 by American-provided IOF weapons, four times as many journalists as were killed in the six years of World War 2 and 20 years in Vietnam. Anas, when the IOF officially put him on the target list , responded: Silence or death: this is what the occupation wants from me and from Gaza's journalists... The occupation army has repeatedly tried to silence us through death and fire, whether by targeting my home and killing my father or through repeated attacks against us... I am doing my job transparently, conveying the suffering of my people in northern Gaza, which is what troubles the occupation and its army. They do not want the truth to be revealed.
